As someone with stage 4 CKD, I may be biased, but I'm glad Octavia Spencer and Sofia Vergara did an ACTUAL health PSA during the Super Bowl. Unlike that other one that said we need to hate fat people more.

Just got a big rug for the living room because Zim is getting old and starting to slip on the tile floor, and I have to say, the rug really ties the whole room together.

Rewatched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. I didn't realize this when I first watched it, but half the dialouge in this movie is just "hmm". You could almost make a drinking game out of it except you'd probably have alcohol poisoning by the end.

I've always said anyone with one of those stickers is a racist, an asshole, or, most often, both.
At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

Listening to old episodes of @yourewrongabout.bsky.social, and considering trying to add a "In Popular Culture" section to the Wikipedia entry for denoument to add the Michael Hobbes pronunciation. It's the only time I've ever heard the word so that's how it's pronounced to me.

Attempting to come to terms with the fact that my CKD is progressing rapidly and that I'll probably be on dialysis before the end of the year. The fact the 5 year survival rate for patients starting dialysis before the age of 45 is 85% is not comforting. Roughly 1/6 chance I'll be dead in 6 years.

Probably a stupid question: how much impact would it have if a massive amount of people changed their W-4s to the lowest possible deduction? You could still pay your taxes later so it's not illegal, but would it starve the government's coffers enough now to make the postponing worth it?
