I love having hobbies. Mostly thinking about comics, baking, healthcare-related stuff, systemic issues, libraries, and needing a nap. Banner image is from She-Hulk issue #12 (LGY #175). adenhailemariam.com

This week's Avengers Academy, issue 51, is the first in a two-part-er for Disability Pride Month. The issue seems pretty straightforward on ableism and this part was creepy. I did a double take. I literally said to myself “this is evil”. Once again in a superhero story it is something very real.

What the heck. Let me share some cartoon-y things today. I was trying to make a She-Hulk comic for #MakeATerribleComicDay2025 but gave up or got tired. I loved making She-Hulk illustrations when the show was on.

Also inspired by that one time I colored my hair green. Anyways, of all the comics I’ve read, I feel like a significant portion included Doctor Doom, but he still feels unfamiliar to me.

Coincidentally, I made this today for #MakeATerribleComicDay2025.

I’m reading After Life. I’ve wanted to read this for a long time. Just finished the preface and felt calm afterwards. I think it felt like an attempt at collective grieving for the pandemic, or an acknowledgment of the need for it, that I haven’t experienced enough and needed.
