Given what we know about the emissions associated with beef production, we should be placing as much emphasis on transitioning to chicken burgers as we are to EVs!

Given what we know about the emissions associated with beef production, we should be placing as much emphasis on transitioning to chicken burgers as we are to EVs!

I feel this is a general principle that makes real change so hard to achieve. It's not so much getting the new stuff started, it's getting the old things stopped.
1. This is something I've been saying for 25 years, but it's hard to get many people to listen. What counts is not the new energy sources you add, but the old ones you retire. Unfortunately it's politically easier to build renewables than to shutter fossil fuels.🧵
