A David Johnson, one of many. Anarcho-Satanist, one of few.

I believe in a world without rulers or ruled, even tho I may not live to see it. I believe injustice must be fought even if you lose.

The work is the work, and more hands make it lighter.
hell yeah dude

For me, winning involves building and maintaining better things, and making these as accessible — in terms of ease, simplicity, time-demands, & cost — as we possibly can. Which takes lots of work.

Being “more correct” involves telling people “don’t” and “you’re bad for that”. Which takes less work.

I know I’m making up a guy to get mad at here, and this is really about better-evaluating criticism of you and others.

But I do not want to be part of a movement that is more concerned with being the most correct. I want to win.

There are valid versions of this.

You can imagine good-faith criticism of bus boycott carpools for not having options for wheelchair users.

However, “think of the carbon emissions!” or “more cars will increase gridlock and pedestrian deaths” is seeking to be more correct instead of winning.

We all should know you can’t go on strike without a strike fund; you can’t just tell people “do without” or quit their job

But with boycotts, in addition to being all over the place, everyone seems to be afraid to say, “HERE is where you get what you need.” Because then “but whatabout…” comes up.

You can’t expect people to boycott buses without organizing a carpool for them.

You *can* inconvenience people, can ask us to make a sacrifice, walk, etc.

But you’d better also have the replacement in place and make it simple, accessible & affordable on our end, however complicated it is on yours.

I am *already* functionally boycotting almost everything in the economy (except my landlord) because I don’t have a ton of discretionary income.

But I do still have to eat. I have to wipe my ass. I can mend clothes, but I need new ones when the wear out.

What am I to do?

“don’t buy a chicken sandwich from
the homophobic restaurant chain” is easy to avoid

but groceries and household goods? “boycott Amazon, Target, Home Depot — but maybe Kroger and Albertsons too. And always Wal-Mart”

I don’t have infinite hours or health or money to “consume right”
November 30, 2025 at 7:56 PM
my hardest problem is, “What am
I supposed to do instead?”

there are so many boycotts I’m being told to follow, but I don’t have much money and I don’t have a car. I can only walk/bus to do many things and carry a bit, and the rotating “evil corporation” of the week often feels pointless

but it *could* have been reported as like results of an investigation into the earlier Joe Osborne / SPOG-owned “Seattle Security Inc.”

or I may be completely mixed up. all the bogus CHAZ/CHOP “protection money” stories clog up search results

I *think* it was related to Raleigh Evans’ “Seattle’s Finest Security and Traffic Control LLC” because I remember hearing about it post-2020, and it would make sense for it to also be a guaranteed overtime scheme taking advantage of the SPOG union contract
