We just recorded the 1938 Oscars (for films of 1937) and I go to bat for a film called ANGEL starring Dietrich. It wasn't nominated but could've/should've been. Highly recommended. (Not to be confused with BLUE ANGEL her earlier masterpiece!)

I love FEARLESS! Great movie. By the way, directed by Peter Weir, the guy who did MOSQUITO COAST. He's really good. (Of course he's probably best known for DEAD POETS SOCIETY). But yes, Fearless is an excellent film with a great 'friendship' between people bonded by trauma! Good call!

I mean -- Biden has been out of office a long time now. Trump brags about the tariffs -- but it's obvious things are more expensive. The job market sucks, farmers are getting hosed & people all over aren't getting paid, are getting fired & losing benefits. At some point they have to blame Trump!

Yes, I remember the gynecological tools being the creepiest part of the movie! I'm sure I'll appreciate it more now. I was just truly bored to tears by it as a teen. Same with Lynch's Lost Highway.
