I think some of it is due to the pressure help defense puts on his dribble. Setting traps, etc.

I think his burst helps him split pre-determined doubles a little too.

But overall, I'm not totally sure on the "why" behind that decision

Tbf, George has played well to start the year. Curious to see how Brown handles going against more athletic wings if teams follow suit

Yeah, he's close to a 1:1 ratio. I think that's a large part of why the offensive is being "guard led" this season. In turn, that frees up Brown to be more aggressive on offense

Having someone cut baseline on kick out actions is a nice wrinkle***
