Confession time: I haven't watched Twisters yet. But despite that egregious oversight, I took a look at how the 2025 storm season is shaking up to be a doozy, yet insurance rates are largely remaining static.

NEW: Jimmy Finkelstein has reached a settlement in the class action lawsuit filed by the ex-employees of his defunct news site The Messenger. According to the court docs, the settlement is for $4.5 million; however, plaintiffs must wait until Finkelstein's assets are liquidated to receive payment.

Some personal news (well, actually professional, but anyway). Friday was my last day at Semiconductor Engineering. I'm starting a new gig next week and also picking up a few freelance gigs along the way. Will be posting work as it goes up as I vainly try and rebuild what was lost at the Bad Place.
