GENERALLY in the manatear, death is reasonably temporary, you just wake up as a funny forest critter of some variety and awkwardly get to walk back to society. In the dystop they know how to snare people who die and they wake up as drones already working tirelessly. It's a bad time. :)

for example, the manatear is generally impossible to "own the wilds" and so there's always a bit of a release valve of people saying "fuck it, I'll go be a funny critter in the forest.". In the dystop is extremely difficult to escape even before capitalism realism brain, and respawning doesn't help.

Right now I got the canon for Hans is that he is largely a gig worker, but now has the airbar as a consistent source of well paying work but has trouble working there for longer than 2 week stints because the dysphoria gets him from staying Iris too long and then needs a break.

He cannot freely drop it so his hours are generally in big clumps and then he recovers from it in between. The idea is that while he can enter the persona it isn't freely on and off. So if he has to work as Iris for a week he is going to be staying Iris throughout the week.

It's willing. The vague joke context I got for it is that he showed up a couple times as a practice dummy by daisy to train petunia stuff because of his relative weakness to suggestion. Came around enough times to be on good enough terms to be offered a job if he takes on the persona for work hours.

yeah good definition. the manufactured personas are making and using them intentionally. That's generally the schtick in the manatear. I do have the distinctions between wild and lucid where the former is that the base ID is very KO'd vs lucid where they are dealing with stuff but "awake".

Maybe? I'll need that term defined as I never heard it before. The base ID is fine and generally personas are willfully entering that state but it could just be a consistent figure that emerges from close enough TFs that it comes out. Like sterling is relevant for rodent mouse/rats.
