Our leaders in Massachusetts won’t let President Trump weaponize hunger for political gain. Kudos to @massgovernor.bsky.social and @massago.bsky.social for fighting to protect Massachusetts families from this abuse of federal power.

SNAP funding should never be a bargaining chip.
If President Trump wants to punish states for feeding hungry Americans, we’ll see him in court.

We’re working with @massago.bsky.social to make sure everyone gets the benefits they’re owed. Trump should focus on reopening his government instead of fighting to take food away from families.
BREAKING: The Trump administration is demanding states "undo" efforts to provide full SNAP payouts for November amid court battle.

This incident is a shocking reminder that the Trump administration's deportation agenda has never been about public safety. State lawmakers must act to protect our communities from violent ICE operations that undermine public safety, separate families, and spread chaos in our communities.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court granted the Trump administration's request to enforce its discriminatory passport policy while our lawsuit makes its way through the courts.

This decision undermines the freedom of transgender, non-binary, and intersex people to have our IDs reflect who we are.

ACLU of MA has filed a brief with the SJC in support of the constitutional right to counsel.
The Court should declare the current compensation scheme for bar advocates unconstitutional, and establish an immediate, temporary rate to address this violation until the Legislature develops a solution.

Flock’s mass-surveillance machine is a rapidly expanding location tracking system - and a privacy nightmare.

Communities across the nation are calling for lawmakers to protect us from this unwarranted government surveillance. www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-ne...
Police cameras track billions of license plates per month. Communities are pushing back.
More than 5,000 law enforcement departments across the U.S. use interconnected Flock Safety cameras to track residents’ movements.

BREAKING: A federal court just certified a class in our case challenging the widespread denial of bond hearings in immigration courts covering several New England states.

This is a major step toward securing due process for thousands who have been and will be jailed without justification by ICE.

ICE is using faulty and biased face surveillance technology to go after people they suspect of being undocumented.

This is a direct threat to the fundamental rights of every individual and has no place in our cities.
ICE and CBP Agents Are Scanning Peoples’ Faces on the Street To Verify Citizenship
Videos on social media show officers from ICE and CBP using facial recognition technology on people in the field. One expert described the practice as “pure dystopian creep.”

This lawsuit aims to stop Quincy’s plan to install two 10-foot-tall statues of saints on a new public safety building.

In Quincy, and everywhere, there must be a separation of church and state.

Facial recognition technology gives the government unprecedented power to track our every move.

Nine municipalities in Mass have passed local laws protecting privacy and racial justice–but everyone deserves protection.

Tell lawmakers to finish the job: mobilize.aclum.org/a/regulate-f...
The City of Boston became the second-largest city in the world to outlaw facial surveillance — banning both the technology itself and any information it produces.

We all want what’s best for our kids.

For parents of trans youth, gender-affirming care is an essential part of keeping their kids happy and healthy.

Health care should be between patients and their doctors–not politicians in Washington.

The ACLU of MA applauds AG Campbell for her continued leadership in the fight against this dangerous attack on transgender people. Gender-affirming care is lifesaving care.
Donald Trump’s DOJ wants to force Boston Children’s Hospital to turn over sensitive records related to gender-affirming care.

I’m leading a multistate coalition in filing a court brief fighting back against this attempt to bully patients and health care providers.
