How do we get great storytelling and build access into it? How do we shift into producing ways to make data storytelling more accessible to those who can't read (for whatever reason)?
In a world that is shifting to endless GenAI content, how do we design for pleasure, access and real info?

I'm curious though - how accessible is it? I haven't done an audit, but the main issue with data visualisation is that often the tools that exist that produce the visualisation aren't accessible to things like screen-readers. The team haven't described the visualisations in text form either. 🤔

We cannot continue to allow Libertarians to own digital infrastructure AND then allow other Libertarians to regulate them in the name of 'civil liberties'. This is why we need to shift our focus from Tech or Digital Rights to Tech Justice. www.thecatalyst.org.uk/tech-justice/

While I still believe that the implementation of the Online Safety Act has been incredibly badly done because of the failing of how the UK govt understands how the internet works, the intention behind having regulation is necessary. This is Glitch's reasoning: glitchcharity.co.uk/blog/black-w...

TBC it's not parody when I put it like that, Labour really genuinely are going with the message that Reform's basic message is correct but trying to say people should vote Labour anyway. I think this is suicidal comms, politically completely inept.

The big issue, however, is how I feel like the histories I can find tend to translate trans identities into Academic English, losing the contextual diversity of different trans, hijra and other gendered groups that have historically existed across India. We need more oral histories.

It reminds me how much the NGO industrial complex actually holds up the oppressive systems we exist in. They perform anti-oppression by hiring DEI consultants and then proceed to only implement the small changes, while jumping at new technology while actively disregarding it's true cost.
