Jewish anti-Zionist. He/Him.
For what it's worth, I don't think we get the current mass resistance to Trump and outrage over the murder of Alex Pretti without decadss of BLM, pro-immigrant organizing, and anti-Trump organizing. That's not to say him being white plays no role, but good organizing brings in new people.

Not gonna lie, if I was going to name a no. 1 hit song of 2025, it would probably be Golden.
Last Friday was KPop Demon Hunters Cast (No. 6), a very strange artist-not-artist to place in a very strange year of pop stardom. (Fun one though!) megaphone.link/PMC7634530808

I argued with a right-wing guy a bunch last year and all it convinced me of was that he was an incredibly stupid person.
Another sneaky attempt by the NYT to convince you that the far right is intriguing because it is taboo
these people seem like idiots

I'm reading this book that describes catfish "the size of baby whales" as if I'm supposed to have a lot of experience with baby whales to draw on.

The ghost of Erik the Red is smiling.
Trump is now confusing Greenland and Iceland: "They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you. Our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland has already cost us a lot of money."

Ironically, Bud Light trying to appease the transphobes resulted in none of them coming back, and lost any good will they might have gained from the left. There's a pretty clear lesson there.
So apparently Dylan Mulvaney got cast in a Broadway musical... which resulted in transphobes losing their minds and threatening to "Bud Light" the show... and now the show's Twitter page is locked down. Cool cool.

The Trump admin is moving to quickly deport two men who witnessed, they say, ICE guards choke a fellow detainee to death.

The admin moved to deport men right after they spoke the Washington Post.

This is the death that the medical examiner has already ruled likely homicide.

The two men’s eyewitness accounts of the Jan. 3 death of Geraldo Lunas Campos at a Texas detention camp differ from the Department of Homeland Security’s account of the incident.

I remember some years back a young woman telling me she wanted to keep talking to this guy because she wanted to get through to him how he was making her feel, and, like, sometimes the only way people learn is by experiencing consequences.

Hennepin DA asks for submissions of videos and photos of the killing to her office so that they can develop independent body of evidence and ensure it's collected and preserved independent of feds. Reading between the lines, they're moving forward with an independent investigation but nervous.

The thing that gets me about "nearly 50 countries" is that means like 75% of countries have not adopted it.

Sure, it probably is true that it's more widespread than any other definition, but that doesn't mean there's some sort of consensus about it.
The IHRA is an antisemitism-generator that redefines antisemitism to criminalize criticism of ethnic cleansing and apartheid. This is why genocide activists are typing in all-caps today ⬇️

I just saw a video talking about the Tesla door safety problem and the number of comments that are like, "well you should read the manual" are...shocking.

No, cars should be intuitively safe. Passengers are not reading the manual. Are you doing a safety briefing every time you give someone a ride?

I'm not sure it's "co-opting" when that's more or less what The Crusades were.
Far-right groups are co-opting the aesthetics of the Crusades for their own objectives, transforming an obsession with feudal justice into a campaign for a White Christian nation.
Why We Should All Be Worried About "Crusadercore"
This online trend equips young, White men with a historically bastardized visual lexicon — one that gives new credence and religious authority to far-right bigotry.

Im sure there will be no issues there at all.
