Something I never noticed about JPEG is that the compression ratio (at least when converting from PNG) seems to increase with resolution; potentially to somewhere between 10 and 20 times for pictures that are 20MB+. Feels almost magical to me.
Slightly blows my mind that MP3 and JPEG do pretty much the same thing

Strange discovery: fry screaming seems to somehow help with vocal fold closure, thus counterintuitively, eliminating raspiness in the voice. Given that this is a problem that I've been struggling for a long time, especially on the higher notes, I should look into learning to scream proper.
One random and unexpected consequence of having spent some time in the university choir turned out to be that between various excercises, I learned the mechanism behind fry screaming. Extreme vocals could become one of those hobbies no one wants me to engage in but I do it anyway.

Smth that puzzles me about that country of origin fiasco is that Twitter is blocked in Russia and is generally used via VPN. Assuming it wasn't retrieving the actual device location, these accs must have been excluded from the ISP-level restrictions.
Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Appflowy is a service that force-feeds you an AI-chatbot in exchange for your email address. How one is supposed to use it for productivity, I have no idea.

I will never find a notes app that doesn't look like the control panel of a spaceship for no practical reason.

In 1.12 Minecraft, there was a way to achieve concatenation of part of one block ID with part of another, causing block transmutation. Some servers, such a SciCraft, used this to obtain illegal items like barrier blocks.

From 1.13 onward, block IDs were deprecated, and the method no longer works.

The nearby administrative hellhole of a city somehow disabled all mobile internet traffic while keeping the appearance of 4G. The complete breakdown of communications with the outside world is only a matter of time.

As someone who has been range-training like there is no tomorrow, this video threw me into anxiety. There is a high probability that I, too, have some degree of physical scarring to my vocal folds since I've been feeling bad about my voice and pushing it hard for years.

Weird and suspicious profile. No posts besides the pinned, and all replies are trying to convince to contact them to get HRT. I appreciate the good intent, and I am not familiar with the topic enough to see anything provably alarming but something is off.

Maybe having a whole bunch of web pages and a game open while compiling stuff was not the smartest idea. The console crashed, and I have no idea if it will have some lasting consequences. 16GB of RAM is not nearly as much as I used to think.
