New goodies arrived in the mail today! I went through the alternate character creation rules in the book and it was actually a really short section but there was a lot of good stuff on professiona I liked so now I've gotta find a way to budget time to read the rest.

I don't wear dresses but I got one for an upcoming xmas party my girlfriend invited me to and wow. Didn't think a dress could give me happy gender feels this far into my transition but yeah. Gunna have to get a black crystal necklace to go with this. (Sorry I don't have a full length mirror lolz)

Ok I'm refocused back on what is now a CoC one shot. Today I'm coming up with some NPCs to populate the ship with, and then I've got a LOT of source book material to read through. I need to learn CoC character creation as well as go through the Malleus Monstrorum to align my vision with the mythos

It's The Uncanny Boris Karloff's birthday! It's a great day to kick back and watch a couple of films featuring this master of the macabre! I recommend The Bride of Frankenstein for a younger Karloff and also his swan song Targets!

My girlfriend is taking me to the annual holiday party the corpo she works for throws every year and it's going to be at the Birch Aquarium so very fancy! I've been putting together an outfit for it and I just picked up some pretty feathers hang from my gauges

Work on my new one-shot progresses slowly but surely. Today's I started writing the rough bios of the player characters. They each will possess a certain skill according to their enlisted rate that will help them and their shipmates possibly survive the scenario I have in store for them.

Not much time to write today sadly but doing what I can, in this cause working on the rough backstorys of the playable characters in the one shot. This one is going to be intended and balanced for 4 players. They each get a traumatic experience related to the ship they're on as a treat

Writing progresses on the one-shot. Only focusing on story and characters atm as I'm still not sure what system I'm going to bake into it. A modified Hunter 5E was my first instinct, but this now really feels like a CoC scenario. I don't know if I can sell it some days if I do that though? Idk

I started with the simple "werewolf on a ship" premise. Then I added in ghosts because of course a ship that old would be haunted, and now I'm injecting cosmic horror into the mix because it feels right. It's funny where a story will take you when you're writing it
