“He’ll probably break up w me for liking it and then—“

Not in this lifetime, then. “No. Don’t break up with him.” He brushes the sheen of saliva on her lip. “Sorry, really. Forget about it.”

She slaps him, hard. But she kisses him a second time. And a third. And a fourth. And— 2/n
Random idea/INFURIATING storiezz

He kisses her, just like that.
5 seconds later, she staggers back like a wounded cat. So fkin cute.

“Sorry. We can’t.”
“Can’t what?”
“I—I love him. I’m defo telling him you kissed me.”
“But u kissed me back?” he grins.

Momentarily forgot my cardinal rule: if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing poorly. Needing to shed some perfectionism to get a move on with one of my projects.

a thing internet leftists do is assume that everyone wants to be law abiding but does crimes out of economic desperation. It's just not true.

Inspired by someone elsewhere, I hereby vow to try to avoid the terms "content" and "content creator," unless I *must* talk about work across so many fields that a generic term is the only one that will suffice. Let's not reduce art, criticism, journalism, etc. to an undifferentiated smear of Stuff.

All of my writing successes are because this magazine took a chance on my weird stories. They have done the same for countless other authors. Neil has won the Hugo Award for Best Short Form Editor multiple years in a row.

Hundreds of people need to subscribe for him to keep his health insurance!
In light of the astronomical increases for my health insurance next year, I thought it would be a good time to encourage people to subscribe. (A few hundred should cover it. Sigh.)

I feel this shifting for me. I write what I want to read, and hope it resonates with others. But more and more I feel like I want to write to do something… like, if writing is so ineffectual, why are so many trying to silence us? But I need to find the place where craft meets friction.
Been pondering the "write for yourself / no, write for an audience" convos I've seen going around. This obviously varies for everyone, but for me it's "write for myself, edit for an audience." I can't finish a project unless I retreat into a bubble and pretend nobody will ever read it--

Trying to capture the pure unbridled crazy of a Cat? On canvas? A foolhardy quest.
