speaking as a virginia beach native if these kind of dudes are plotting against ICE then there is wide runway in public opinion for straight up abolishing the agency under a dem presidency

Once again the Trump regime fails to do things Reagan considered common sense! Part of how Reagan crushed the PATCO strike was calling on military air traffic controllers.
Sean Duffy: "The secretary of war texted me yesterday and said, 'I might have some air traffic controllers. If you could use them, I'm gonna offer them to you.' I don't know that I can, Jake, because they're not certified in the airspaces that we need them. But if I can, I'm going to use them."

I edited the Variety section of my college newspaper which covered student life and entertainment. The name was derived from the venerable magazine. I always thought that was a pretty cool albeit extremely attenuated connection to real journalism. But now I'm just so embarrassed for them.

This, in particular, is spectacularly hideous. It's like something you'd see on the wall of a car dealership where they put pictures of their top salespeople every month

What a loser. Read Stanley's rationale for leaving and tell me if it is in any way laudable.
Jason Stanley isn’t afraid to use the F-word when talking about President Donald Trump.

The author of How Fascism Works and Erasing History: How Fascists Rewrite the Past to Control the Future is clear: He believes the US is currently under an authoritarian regime led by a fascist leader.
I study fascism. I’ve already fled America.
On this week’s “More To The Story,” former Yale philosophy professor Jason Stanley explains his recent move to Canada and calls the Trump administration’s takeover of the US government a “coup.”

On the bus tonight some costumed college kids were explaining how to trick or treat to one of their party who had clearly grown up in another country. The one kid asked, "So just one house?" "No, many houses." It was the cutest thing. Everyone within earshot smiled. That's what we're fighting for.

My favorite part of this is Mace’s claim that Tim Scott would not be treated like this. Correct! He is a U.S. Senator and is therefore entitled to a modicum of respect based on his office. A member of the House is not. I would not hold the elevator for a member of the House.
