Looking up at the gloriously colourful interior of the central dome of Saint Aloysius Church on Rose Street in Glasgow. The church was built in 1910, while the interior was not completed until 1927. It was restored in 2004.

So many happy memories from trips to the Kelvingrove
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow. A world class museum in a truly magnificent building that has held a special place in the hearts of generations of Glaswegians since it first opened its doors in 1901. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot...

Is it just me, or does this thistle on a gate at Glasgow University appear to be mid-way through giving a lecture to passersby?

It's #InternationalCatDay today. So let's walk around pretending we're kings and queens. Oh wait, we do that every day anyway!
Jokes aside, it's a day to celebrate cats for all their awesomeness.

Today I held the finished copy of my book for the first time. Three years (or a lifetime?) in the making, and in just a month, it’ll be in readers’ hands.

'Drystone – A Life Rebuilt' is out 7 August.

This week, The Times are doing a giveaway - 40 signed copies of my book! If you are a subscriber, you can enter.

I have a rubbish signature, so don't get excited about that part. The book is great though.
