I made the paper, dyed and marbled it, dyed the supports and sewing thread and bound all that up together. Every component is made of flax.

Idk…the queer people I know that live around chick fil-As are still boycotting it, so this feels like a straight person just being like, finally I can say that I’m still supporting a company whose owners actively support fascism.

I was at the historical society recently and was able to see the part of it that was determined to be the point of structural failure.
A piece of the 35w bridge several feet wide by several feet high. It’s pained green and is rusting. There is a piece of plastic attached to the very top that is where the structural failure is thought to have happened.

A video essay I’m watching just brought up Belly of the Beast by Da'shaun Harrison. It’s one of the most impactful books I’ve ever read. I think about it all the time. Cannot recommend it enough.

My litho stone arrived today! I’m going to be using it to pare leather on, but it has pretty neat little images on it that would be fun to try and print someday.
