As an aside, it seems like every area of human endeavour has its cherished role model who is also a sexual harasser. See, for example, open source software. I won't name names because the perp is still alive and I don't want to be sued.

Asimov's actions, and the tolerance-up-to-celebration of it, absolutely drove women out of field and out of fandom, and made it easier for others in the field, writers, editors and fans, to follow his lead for decades. Asimov pinching asses was not about his work. It kept women and their work out.

The original purpose of this toolset was to detect immigration applications using fictitious or altered photographs. Fraud of this nature is sadly quite common. The tool has, however, since morphed to be used for purposes long outside its original design parameters.

I want to point out that misuse of biometric data is illegal in Illinois and while DHS itself is immunized, any misuse of biometric data gathered by DHS in Illinois would not be so immune and would create civil and criminal liability enforceable in the courts of the State of Illinois
