A slow (rapid?) decline in the environmental wellbeing of the UK (world). It makes Reeves’ approach to destroying unique (or any habitat) in order to appease house builders all the more a chaotic and ill thought through proposal. She doesn’t get it and she doesn’t care.
How the feck do we fix this?
You might think honeybees are thriving – after all, we see hives everywhere. But their wild cousins are vanishing.

I have good intelligence that the Government was as surprised at the Supreme Court's decision as everyone else was. Shabana Mahmood will have known that - incredibly ugly for her to try and smother criticism because she likes the outcome.
The right way for Mahmood to respond to the substantial and substantiated criticisms of the Supreme Court decision is to address them.

To pretend it is illegitimate even to advance criticism is to mimic autocracies and amplify the stench of impropriety. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Really sensible, well thought through reasoning from Jennie Kermode writing for @bylinesnetwork.co.uk as to why the SC & EHRC ruling/guidelines just aren’t workable.
Toilet segregation: an issue for everyone

The UK’s EHRC has advised that toilet access should be restricted by sex, but in practice this means problems, and not just for trans people

We believe the UK is now in breach of its obligations under the Human Rights Act and the European Convention of Human Rights and we plan to ask the High Court for a declaration of incompatibility.

Statement on the EHRC ‘guidance’.

The EHRC ‘guidance’ put out at 10pm last night is a bigoted attempt to segregate trans people in public spaces. It is almost certainly unlawful.

If even half of this is true (and I suspect that ALL of it is pretty accurate) then it becomes clear how Labour has fallen into the McSewer, but still baffling as to WHY?

I want to say this again, and clearly.

I spoke to three KCs, and we were formally advised by two, at Premier League sets who said FWS's case was clearly wrong, and one said not even arguable. 1/2

It's still illegal to discriminate against you for being trans, but is legal to discriminate against you for any expression of that transness is a frankly absurd interpretation of the law and it's extremely evident none of these people sincerely think trans people should exist.
I see that the Labour re-appointee for the EHRC chair is insisting trans people use mythical, segregated third spaces as a way of existing in society

Not sure she understands the "Human Rights" part of the name. But tbf the supreme court didn't either
