Have only read the foreword and intro. But one of the implications of PSA (that God is inherently violent in nature) reminded me of this article from several years ago.
This study found that proponents of PSA were less empathetic toward suffering.

Look, the SBC has problems. And I’m speaking as a SBC guy.
But being “woke” for suggesting we can speak about God in ways that God also speaks about himself isn’t one of them.

Some books are easy to read, and you find pleasure in just being carried along by the words.
Other books require work. But bring their own kind of pleasure of being challenged, stretched.
This will be one of those that’ll make me work. But I’m looking forward to it!
