GCS lead: "Wait. You mean this could get our customers to let *us* configure their cloud environments? Yes? One sec."

((adjusts revenue forecast))

"Ok, launch it."

You can see heavy equipment in the photo. That means dust. In that exact same situation, I did choose to cover my nose and mouth.

Here he's excusing the assassination of a journalist in Turkey by the Saudis, when he tried to get a marriage certificate.

There are Trump's "values". They are not America's Values.

Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I know looking at it this way is subjective and could even be called cheating. I think it has value though.

Knowing your company doesn't even own anything if value at the end of a capital cycle seems like it influences strategic and tactical choices in less healthy (for the technology) ways than financial around something like fiber.

IMO, thinking about it at the technology level, useful lifetime is more impt than payback period. Fiber, someone could buy your assets out of your bankruptcy and the investment is eventually recouped at the technology level. Not true w a 5 year GPU w huge operational (energy) costs stapled to it.

Like, anarchy is so dumb that "not anarchy" was invented by literal animals.

We think of technologies and societies as human inventions because they require Being Smart.

But "Anarchy is bad" and "here are ways to not Anarchy" is so simple it didn't even require Being Smart.
