fun language fact: you can translate any French word into English and vice versa by applying a few simple substitutions:
- vowel with circumflex ↔ vowel + s
- word-initial gu ↔ w
- word-initial é ↔ s
ex: sûr, Guyane, égyptien → susr, Wyane, sgyptien
ex: mouse, write, smart → moûe, gurite, émart
