So sad.

I look forward to photos that show it back in good health and bouncing around your garden.

You did pick it up and take it home?

You did? Didn't you?

I'm surprised by the details of the claim too.

On a human note, I think the front line civil servants are genuinely trying their best with the resources available for this topic.

That said, I recognise imperfections. Happy to feed back your two points if you'd like?

Saw a child go from daily ear defenders to never using them.

The panels made such a difference to her stress levels.

I do wish local authorities would realise this. My last school was tested and proven to be acoustically horrific but they only modified the music room 🤷‍♀️

Acoustic panels can be a game changer:
✔️ Especially for inclusive lunchtimes
✔️ Especially for children with speech & language needs.

It is not only about ramps, doorways and toilets.

5. The CDC reminds us that your school's Accessibility Plan must increase access for disabled pupils.

Sometimes school leaders do need to give difficult news to parents... Not every school is right for every child.

But the above messages are disability discrimination where misused.

4. Some subtle messages are out of order.

They can torpedo the reputation of your school.

Instead ask:
❔ Is there anything that might affect your child's learning?
❔ Is there anything that might affect your child's experience in school?
December 16, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Some families tick "No" because they are worried about disclosure.

Others think disability is something more serious than their child's condition.

3. Despite an increased number of children classed as disabled, CDC say that binary questions for parents should be avoided, for example "Do you have a disability?"
December 16, 2025 at 7:15 PM
2. Gov.uk stats indicate that 12% of children are disabled.

The research says that this is up almost 50% in last ten years.

This isn't ticked off once - it's ongoing...

We do not need to wait to be told. We need to make reasonable adjustments anyhow.

A fabulous choice!

I kind of feel that all forms should come with three star badge that shows that three people within the sending organisation completed examples of the form before it was approved for use in the wild.

It could be a game changer for user experience.
