You're a brave man. And a good one, too. I've got more respect for you than any of the "see both sides" cunts.

Heh. I remember buying that issue from my local John Menzies.

Sex sells.

Valve have already said it will cost a similar amount to a similarly spec'd PC. They don't want to sell at a loss like Microsoft.

The Frame looks awesome. But I do NOT need a 3rd VR headset.

The wife will divorce me....

It's minimum spec GPU, yet plenty of folk are running it just fine on 2060s....
November 16, 2025 at 1:57 PM
The problem is a lot of developers are working in high end hardware, and likely own high end hardware themselves, so they work to that target. They then work to cut back to the mainstream specs if they can.

Hell, the min specs on some games don't mean anything. Doom Eternal has a 3060 IIRC as /1

sell to anyone but the enthusiast market who want a high spec, SFF PC. But get it to market at $700-$750? You have a chance to take sales away from the "gaming PC" market you see in shops like Currys (UK), Best Buy (US), etc. and if you can hit volume, you can bring the price down towards PS5 level.

It's only the "PCMR" lot complaining about it not being powerful enough. Most PC users still game at 1440p or below. Most use GPUs of the 3060 class or below. 16gb ram is still the norm.

That's the market Valve are targeting. The "mainstream", not the "enthusiast".

Idiots are going to watch YouTube videos on how to be a "genius" when marketing their product and follow them blindly, even if it costs them money.

A bit like owning a sports team.

Give them time...

Flood? Follow, of course.
November 16, 2025 at 12:41 PM
He's trying to explain it away as "sarcasm" and "irony" in a flood up tweet.

If he were not the political editor for The Express, I could maybe believe that... But he's just trying to deflect from his own idiocy.

Yep. Until relatively recently (late Victorian era, which is recent for our history) Goose was the traditional Christmas meal.
