In the coming months: @ofcom.bsky.social reports traffic to social media sites from within the UK has dropped millions. Reports also suggest VPN usage has increased by almost the same amount. Who could have predicted that?

Unison having a lefty leader is cool, but the turnout was 7%. That’s a mandate of 4.1%. It’s down from 2020, somehow. When I was a member I got a real sense of apathy about turnout. Hard to build engagement when it’s so persistently low.

In 2035 the plan 1 student loans will start being written off. Many won't have paid it off due to high interest rates & lower wages than their parents. The plan 1 cohort graduates will be in their late 40s and looking forward to the 9% tax on earnings ending. I fear it will be extended to age 65.
