There are a whole lot of YouTube videos of (mostly American) idiots trying to pull out stumps with their pickup trucks that says otherwise. Oh, wait - hmmmmmm…this is some of that “dry” “British humor”, isn’t it….

Ah yes Peter, but what about Wayfair “furniture” in the basements of pizza shops?

There was such a thing in JP for years…a community volunteer snow crew.

Bartender kicked him out. Showed up the next day with an integral sign in his pants…

Generators hopefully already running, and it takes a few minutes to go through engine starting procedure/checks for one person. Source: I have watched a number of YouTube videos and this am an expert (the videos are really neat though.)

Range is meh, and DCFC speeds - they top out at 150kW, I believe…with a 100kWhr battery. Some units had 50kW max charging.

Aside from body panels designed to propel themselves off the vehicle, being flummoxed by steep hills, aircraft carrier turning radius, atrocious reliability (doors, drive units, axles, keyfobs), terrible heating/AC and stereo, lacking service by rivian, and rivian’s efficiency numbers…I suppose, heh

Polestar used to tell journalists they were trying to compete with Porsche.

The Polestar 2 is great to drive but absolutely trash every other way. Unreliable SW and drivetrain, slow DCFC, shockingly limited sw features compared to almost any other manufacturer… It has an incredibly cramped interior despite being based on an SUV. Interior is nowhere near “60k” quality.
February 1, 2026 at 6:47 PM
There is almost nothing Polestar does competently and they keep making the same mistakes over and over with each new vehicle.

Just look at how many years running they have sworn you’ll be able to get a Polestar serviced at a Volvo dealer that/next year.

Systems are acting oddly often don’t generate any error codes, and clearing OBD2 error codes doesn’t “reboot” anything. Removing 12v power powers off everything in the car, including stuff that is powered off the HV battery.

Please stop talking in the internet about things you know nothing about.

Hyundai/Kia EVs estimate 12v battery state of charge. It is available via OBD2 and their telematics. Some owners use Home Assistant to notify them if the battery estimate gets too low. There’s also a dedicated indicator on the dash that illuminates when the car is charging the 12v batt.

Yeaaaaaah about that…then they started screeching about how we’re all ironic about the 2nd amendment and equating mag restrictions with summary execution www.reddit.com/r/progun/com...

Breathtaking narcissism even for googlers. Imagine looking at Pretti’s execution and thinking “how can we make this about ourselves, and get coverage from WIRED?”

Also: imagine you’re WIRED management in the days after Pretti’s execution and thinking THAT was a good use of your staffing resources

*looks at the Trump admin being granted almost instantly endless EROs or dismissal/staying of ROs, when they don’t bypass the entire court system to go directly to the USSC shadow docket and get what they want 99% of the time*

What was that about not getting instant gratification?

In general judges seem totally unable to consider that even a few days of unconstitutional detention can easily result in loss of livelihood, housing, and quite often, their partner leaving them. They’re totally insulted from the realities of low income life.

What really got me was federal court system repeatedly deciding that there’s no risk of imminent irreparable harm when a person is imprisoned and sent out of the country based on no evidence whatsoever. But the federal government not being allowed to fire workers? Whoa whoa! Go go gadget ERO!

Defense contractors: “What suitably unreliable, dangerous, and scandal-laden tech can we repurpose from another industry to sell to the Pentagon?”

Wait until they discover GM & Ford ignition switches.

Allow me to introduce you all to Boston’s French Toast Alert system bsky.app/profile/bost...

And speaking of coats, note the critical status update with the governor’s choice of fleece vest over cardigan for her press conference in “the Bunker”
Yes, a bit late perhaps, but we've gone to 5 Slices / Severe. No, won't be a blizzard, but the NWS is now predicting 18-20 for Boston, the very heart of the Greater French Toast Region. And the governor is heading to The Bunker! At least for a 12:30 p.m. press conference.
