I know it's just "wave of the future" where everyone uses their phones to do everything, but I don't. Cash always works and once the transaction is over, that's it. I hate this shit.

And like, what was wrong paying with quarters? Yeah it's a little hassle to find them, but it's not like I'm going to get additional fees or surge pricing nonsense because it's "peak clothes washing time". Or not be able to do my laundry b/c I can't find my phone or I have to wait for it to charge.

Not for nothing, but there's a bunch of senior citizens in my building. Some of them still use a landline. Maybe they have a smartphone, but I have to think that even if they do, this might be difficult to figure out.

3000 words in. Really knocked a bunch of the story out today. Just a little more conclusion to go. Might need to up the "horror" a bit more, we'll see. I'll finish up, sit on it for a few days, and see if it needs anything else. #horrorsky #writingsky
