The edgy canned water company funded by venture capital firms is fighting with the edgy coffee company funded by private equity firms in a battle over who can be the most obnoxious niche drink company on the internet.
Screenshot of Liquid Death's Twitter account talking about Death Wish Coffee filing a lawsuit against Liquid Death.

"Well. @DeathWishCoffee and their lawyers have filed a lawsuit in an attempt to stop Liquid Death from ever launching our own brand of coffee. BUT we have no plans to actually launch a coffee *shrugging emoji.

Perhaps the executives at Death Wish Coffee are amped up on too much caffeine to be this paranoid about the future? Which is why the new CEO at Death Wish (Steve Gardiner) may want to consider trying our new better-for-you energy drink (coming in January) that has zero sugar, 5 calories, essential vitamins, and a sane level of caffeine (100mg).

And whether or not we ever go into coffee one day, we don't believe any one company can legally own the word DEATH regardless of how it's used. And since Death Wish publicly filed their lawsuit against a Liquid Death product that doesn't exist, feel free to let them know on their socials whether or not you support their case. And be sure to listen to the great bands like @Convergecult on @deathwishinc records, the iconic hardcore label that has been around for 25 years (long before the coffee brand). *skull and crossbones emoji* *eggplant emoji*

It's special to have those songs that remind you of those that are no longer here. In time, hearing them will bring joy and good memories. The associations will last forever and one day, you can share that music with someone else and their memories will live on even further.

Happy 65th birthday to Joey Belladonna of Anthrax, who I thought was already 65 years old about 20 years ago.

As someone who has dealt w/ difficult loss, my best advice is to find distractions. Grief is difficult. It tends to linger & manifest in unexpected ways. Distractions, like reading that article you've saved for months or going for a long, specific walk or even shopping for a record, can really help.

I'll vote for whichever candidate vows to tear down Trump's vanity ballroom and use the pieces to build a children's hospital.

Learning all the words, getting emotionally attached, finding every single thing they've ever released, and then getting sad that I can never see them live. 😭

Some newer things I've been enjoying (that you may like too) are Fleshwater, Pøltergeist, Lathe of Heaven, The Birthday Massacre, Faetooth, Entropy, ASkySoBlack, Cemetery Skyline. and then of course I just go back and enjoy old albums from bands that have been broken up for like 10+ years.

Know them for a few years now, not really my thing, but thanks!

Since you like them, you might actually like Wisp.

I am trying to finish up a 4 month-long project.

Please recommend me some of your favorite releases of 2025 to listen to while I work.

Metal, hardcore, goth, horror punk, shoegaze, etc.

Thanks!

I'll perform at next year's The Riyadh Comedy Festival on the condition that I will only do Borscht Belt-style humor with lots of Yiddish words and phrases. Oy, they'll plotz!

It's October, so that means we're talking about horror movies on the podcast.

Our first movie is 1983's The Keep. The soundtrack by Tangerine Dream is awesome (REALLY loud) & the special effects and shots are incredible. The story is...ok, but heavily edited by the studio. Worth a watch. #horrorsky

I hope Metallica one day actually plays the Super Bowl halftime show, but they only play shit like St. Anger, Frantic, and The View just to ruin the lives of Eddie Trunk & all the other crusty hard rockin' goofs that whine every year when a massively popular and relevant artist gets picked instead.

I'm just going to keep misreading "Silent Hill f" as "Silent Milf" for the rest of time.
