I know it's rare for me to open up about my personal grievances on here but between the loss of a dear friend and having a bigoted family, I am just so mentally drained. 2025 was the worst year of my life and 2026 is off to a rough start. All we can do is keep moving forward.

I’ve had an awful lot on my mind lately. I’m preparing for a friend’s funeral this month and my aunt recently blocked me on facebook after we had an argument about ICE treating people like animals. I still love her and pray for her but clearly the feeling is no longer mutual. 🙏

Even if it's a 5 minute doodle, it's progress. It's still building upon your own skills.
Also, never compare yourself to others. Keep old art and redraw it to compare yourself to yourself and see how you grow as an artist.

I've been working on this Toxic Avenger drawing off-and-on ever since I uploaded my review for the remake starring Peter Dinklage but other projects kept me busy till now. This movie needs way more fan artwork (and also a sequel.) ☢️🧬☣️
