i would think the smallest RAM 4 would be sufficient

indeed, i have better luck with known-working usb soundcards, and microphones with 3.5 mm are generally higher quality at least at that price point

Hey Eric! I took steps to make sure passive cooling was as effective as possible - oversized enclosure, passive heatsinks on the chips themselves, and it's located on the shady side of the house, about 30 feet up.
