The fact that many wealthy people, not all, complain about being taxed in order to better the people of the country as a whole shows how patriotic they are. The issue that taxes could be increased in certain areas to help many people and they wouldn't really notice it properly

But yet there are still a lot of things that need to be done. Utility bills for consumers, food prices etc.. work on improving our relations with the EU needs to increase massively. So many things need to change and they can't be all at once but the pace needs to increase

The stupidity here though is by not answering the question he actually answers the question in a way that's not good for him. But it is typical just look at Trump's answers to questions he doesn't like. On the subject of Russia it's legitimate for reform to be asked these questions
November 27, 2025 at 8:35 AM
It would certainly be more productive for him to post policy ideas and tax reforms etc... this is the type of campaigning that isn't helpful
November 27, 2025 at 8:09 AM
An extremely poor comment to make. There are always issues with every budget and there are with this one. But you can and should be doing so much better than this
November 27, 2025 at 6:41 AM
While that would help those who want to fix the situation need to not behave like brexiteers did or the effort will end in failure. You know that something like this cannot be achieved overnight, it would take time and effort.
November 26, 2025 at 9:16 PM
It is better than I expected in some respects. Many areas need attention like Pubs, high street and energy prices etc.. but it's not the disaster that others are suggesting
November 26, 2025 at 5:55 PM
The problem though is that too many people don't see it. What we should do is obvious but I've seen people elsewhere saying that Starmer should be arrested and executed for treason for doing just some basic steps. In both good and bad ways things are playing out far too close to what I expected

America has spent decades making Europe and other NATO members dependent on American support on almost every level. That will change now as I imagine every American military base will be closed down in Europe in the next decade
November 26, 2025 at 5:24 PM
You seriously are an idiot to put it bluntly if you do not understand the situation. NATO and Europe have based their entire militaries on military Cooperation with each other and America. From intelligence gathering to weapons systems! That is changing now as Europe doesn't trust America anymore
November 26, 2025 at 5:21 PM
The comms surrounding it have been awful very much. There were good and not good things as ever. The problem is naturally we do need to fix our relationship with the EU sadly that will take time
November 26, 2025 at 4:42 PM
The stupid thing is that this is how it will be spun even though in real terms I'd bet most of the people affected wouldn't really notice if you didn't tell them
November 26, 2025 at 4:02 PM
This is an obvious move though when it comes to council tax they could do things differently. I do grow tired of those who have so much but believe that they don't have to share the good fortune with the country to make us all better. And they will call themselves patriots
November 26, 2025 at 2:05 PM
No budget is going to please everyone and naturally there are a lot of things they could have done differently. However this is certainly a good thing that will hopefully go a long way to making things better
November 26, 2025 at 2:02 PM
The obvious issue is that Russia will reject many if not all of the Ukrainian modifications. At which point Trump will either abandon Ukraine completely while putting pressure on Europe. Or he will back Ukraine with increased support. Sadly I expect him to do the former
November 26, 2025 at 9:00 AM
Seriously? Are you really really this naive? It isn't the duty of America to do this but just like in Gaza who will Putin/Israel listen to? And Europe cannot intervene for extremely obvious reasons especially as they wouldn't have American support
November 26, 2025 at 6:44 AM
Trump is seeking to get something for himself out of this war. He likely has no real interest in the war one way or another past seeing it as an opportunity for himself
November 25, 2025 at 11:28 PM
The simple fact of the matter is that he and Trump have handled this extremely badly and it will have emboldened Putin. I very much doubt anything will come of these "discussions" due to their incompetence
November 25, 2025 at 11:07 PM
Every system has good and bad elements to be sure. Trial by jury is good but there are flaws. Removing it in what would be a disorganised fashion it likely won't do what they intend it too
November 25, 2025 at 10:31 PM
It's funny though how many people refuse to see it. How can people also still want to see a proper Brexit still? Its crazy
November 25, 2025 at 9:09 PM
The number of economic shocks we've faced have created a serious problem. With Brexit pretty much preventing our recovery. The question is now what's next? It's obvious what the next steps are and the ground work has been set. Will the natural progression occur
November 25, 2025 at 12:03 PM
The plan is simply awful and would not reduce tensions. Europe would have to start arming even more heavily in preparation for Russia attacking Ukraine again and elsewhere. Despite their many failures it would be a very damaging war
November 25, 2025 at 10:43 AM
There is an obvious point that we do need an open inquiry into Russia's interference into UK affairs. The ability of Russia to influence the UK has been one of Putin's biggest victories in recent history. We really need to clean up UK politics
November 24, 2025 at 9:13 PM
The main issues in this country is still Brexit naturally but also the fact that we have lost over a decade to actually do anything seriously substantive. Where I live we've needed serious infrastructure investment for 20 years or more and what we got where speed limit restrictions on a bridge
November 24, 2025 at 9:10 AM
America isn't reliable but with an unstable person in the White House there are many areas where an unhinged person such as Trump can compromise Europe
