Having us there isn’t sufficient if we don’t have adequate space to demonstrate the game changing ways we approach research in relationality with our ecosystems and our communities.

This work is important not just to the individual community, but to allied communities, to policy applications AND to technical expertise.

I am sharing this because I want to highlight the extreme need and desire the scientific community continues to demonstrate how it wants to learn and support Indigenous ways of knowing. We need bigger rooms. We need centralized locations.

HOWEVER…. At each of these conferences, the session are often placed away from the main floor and in small rooms. The sessions are always overflowing, with people sitting on the floors, or out the door.
