I could go on and on and make many points but some of my first jobs were working on cheap and crappy productions made for a quick profit, and without those opportunities available there's little chance I would have been able to prove my worth for the better gigs I've had

I have certainly gone out of my way to watch media that doesn't try and was aiming to make a quick cheap production (bad TV/movie adaptions of games comes to mind)

BUT At the end of the day, they're all still hiring human workers, and those jobs can still be good beginner experience
