I took a break from @atp.fm in 2024 and have only just got back into it. Turns out two years is a really long time when you’re talking about ~2.5 hour weekly podcast episodes lmao.
Starting to remember that it originally took me ~18 months to listen to the ~350 episode back catalogue in 2019/20.

if you install Windows 11 with Rufus (local only account) and remove the AI garbage, and the ‘consumer experiences’, and move the task bar back where it’s supposed to be and then turn on everything in powertoys, and fix powershell, and install ‘Everything’ search, Windows is actually pretty great.

I’ve always enjoyed fucking around with Linux but I don’t want to daily drive it.
Microsoft is forcing me to strongly consider it; despite the fact that Gnome is too stubborn, Plasma is too much work, and Cosmic is too immature.
The reality is… I just want a version of Windows that isn’t awful.
