Grappling with the mechanism of F1-ATPase inhibitors such as IF1, I suppose the answer being that the pmf is consumed to relieve the inhibition (i.e. there is an energetic cost). Other viewpoints welcome.

There's a lot of Britten about today. I sat with an elderly gent at a lunch organised in the village hall today, and apparently he performed as a boy soprano in the first amateur performance of Noye's Fludde in 1959 or so. Britten was supposed to be in the audience, but he couldn't confirm this!

Morning David - happy to have received the full fat version. The solution, I suspect, is to compress your images into smaller files - i.e. the dimensions & appearance will be the same, they'll just use less data. Using Word or Pages on a Mac? Here's how!

I think voluntary digital IDs are a good idea. I don't have a driving licence and don't usually have my passport on me. A government ID on my phone could be very useful.
