After 3 or 4 years of sitting in my Switch library unplayed, I finally started and beat Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It's a cool game, not one that can hold my attention for very long, but still kinda fun.

I also started Yoshi's Story (and technically beat it too). Wacky but fun game

I LOVE Lost Levels! I can see why people dislike it, it's a bad game on its own, but if you play it after getting kinda good at the original SMB it's more fun. I've beaten it 3 times, twice in All-Stars and once on the Game & Watch version, which only has continues at the beginning of every world

I mean yeah this is probably less fun than SML but out of the mainline Mario games (assuming you count SML and don't count G&WSMB), SML is still easily my least favorite
