Shedeur Sanders is probably too busy wondering if one of the worst rookie seasons in NFL history will cost him a roster spot in 2026.

A bunch of interesting nuggets here from @zkffb.bsky.social. Luther Burden and Alec Pierce are probably really good, Bryce Young is probably bad, and Harold Fannin is #elite.

Jon Gruden is maybe the most overrated coach in NFL history. He was mostly a meme.
Six winning seasons in a 15 year head coaching career and people act like Gruden is some guy teams would obviously benefit from having. Amazing.

One thing I can’t stop wondering is which team massively overpays for Alec Pierce?

Trump isn’t getting bad advice. He intentionally hired bad people to give him advice. Which should be the way it is be spun whenever there’s a chance. This is easy stuff, folks.
Firing Greg bovine is good, but can we stop with the “Trump is getting bad advice” crap? This is all on him. Stop making excuses

Briefly stepped to shovel the snow, I didn't have a chance to get to yesterday afternoon/evening due to life. I'm not sure I've ever encountered such thick, rock-solid snow in my life. I was using my neighbor's concrete shovel to pummel through about 5 inches.

Here is how some 2026 QB prospects fared in negative play rate in 2025:

- Taylen Green - 9.0%
- Garrett Nussmeier - 7.3%
- Cole Payton - 7.2%
- Fernando Mendoza - 6.6%
- Sawyer Robertson - 6.6%
- Ty Simpson 6.6%
- Carson Beck 5.6%
- Diego Pavia - 5.5%
- Cade Klubnik - 5.2%
- Drew Allar - 5.1%
I'm not sure if this matters, but of the 112 QB prospects I have this data on, there are four with both a CFB career:

* Pressure to Sack Rate ≥ 20%
* Run/Pass Option Rate ≥ 20%

- Fernando Mendoza (21.4%/21.1%)
- Sam Howell (26.7%/28.1%)
- Malik Willis (26.0%/24.3%)
- Tommy Stevens (22.1%/20.2%)

There's just no way Rivers was actually a "serious" contender for the job. This is a guy who wanted to see what the process was like, and the Bills and Josh Allen obliged.

Kyren Williams is not good. Rhamondre Stevenson is not good. But man, coaches love the guys who do their job come hell or high water.
Kyren just isn’t good. I know McVay loves him though.

If the Patriots get playmakers at receiver, running back, and tight end, they might have a perennial contender for years to come.

You don't have to look too far to find a Commanders fan pointing out that Drake Maye "only had 86 passing yards." As if QBs just go out there and air it out in a blizzard vs. the no. 1 pass defense in the league.

UPDATE: The Patriots did not screw it up.
The Patriots are officially in "just don't screw this up" territory.

The football gods mercifully doing all they can to ensure this game does not go to overtime. Bless them.
January 25, 2026 at 10:49 PM
Both teams were understandably going to be conservative here. The Broncos have some excuse, but the Patriots not letting Maye cook a little more, particularly in the first half, has been brutal. The 3rd and 6 run for a missed FG was brutal.
This has been a lowkey horribly coached game on the offensive side. Both teams have nothing, are making really questionable decisions. It's rough out there.

(Third straight NE game that's been one of the worst games of the playoffs.)

Is Mack Hollins about to take his shoes and shirt off for the rest of the game?
January 25, 2026 at 10:29 PM
Mack Hollins returning and immediately coming up with two 20-plus yard catches in the playoffs. Huge.
January 25, 2026 at 10:16 PM
Per TruMedia, Drake Maye attempted just five passes of 10+ air yards. He completed one for 20 yards.

Vrabel and Maye know ball.
January 25, 2026 at 9:34 PM
Outside of his 52-yard throw, Stidham is 8-of-14 passing for 42 yards with a compADOT of 2.0. The Patriots can't let this be what sends them home.
