Wait, I could open my commission forms to everyone right now 🤔

SubscribeStar/Twitch subs simply get priority picks. It’s not first come, first serve, so let’s do that! Extra time to get your form in! They close end of October. #FurryArt

And on a selfish note, fuck you, I’m not letting you sanitize a space I enjoy, all so a bunch of normie assholes who will NEVER accept you act like they do. Your social fragility is not my problem. Grow a thicker skin.

Also THIS is why we keep furry weird. Lately the fandom has had an influx of cringe-fearing (usually younger) furries who are DESPERATE to sanitize things and prove to their non-furry friends that they’re totally normal and not cringe. Fuck that. You’re a weirdo. Can’t paper over that. Embrace it.

And this is how we wind up with a society of boring people without hobbies or passions. Fuck that. Be weird. If you’re not directly harming anyone, be as weird as you want! Find a hobby you can nerd out about for hours if prompted. It’s good to be weird!

One of the reasons I love furry and other fandoms is that they break people out of their anti-cringe mentality. We, as a society, are so terrified of being seen as cringe that we shut down. Having hobbies is cringe. Being genuinely passionate about stuff is cringe. Gotta be ironic about everything.

Hell yes, go get that knowledge!

I don’t think cookbooks do, but anything that requires you to absorb and work large amounts of info definitely would. So something like a textbook or some other non-fiction work likely do.

Not just that. Skills like reading comprehension need to be maintained. This is why a good chunk of the country is what’s known as “functionally illiterate”. They can read words on a page. But if you ask them them to read a chapter and discus/summarize it, they can’t. Their brains have atrophied.

#ZigHealthTip Read a book. Seriously. Not a film based on a book. Not a YouTube video summarizing a book. If you can’t remember the last time you read a full-length novel, that is NOT good. Reading is vital exercise for your brain. (No, reading skeets does not supplement that :P)

Plus… idk. Knowing that you can be smart and creative but instead live on TikTok, with the reading comprehension of a 3rd grader. That alone is reason to rethink one’s life trajectory. How that shit doesn’t absolutely terrify everyone is beyond me.
ziggyzaggs.bsky.social
Basically, I beg you: Use your brain. Learn that shit yourself. In 15 years, you’ll be one of the most intelligent people on the planet. And AI or not, brainpower will still be sought after.
ziggyzaggs.bsky.social
In a dark bit of irony, if the whole AI thing doesn’t pan out, we might STILL be screwed because the jobs AI is projected to do will fall to college grads with the reading comprehension level of 3rd graders. Safe to say, we’re not building interstellar colonies anytime soon.

I think we’re all cooked — China included. They are also in a massive crisis of kids being too brain rotted to learn. This is a global thing, sadly. Between that and the catastrophic population collapse in many East Asian countries, I’m still hoping maybe the aliens show up to help or something.

And predictably, attention spans are at 0. Students refuse to do longer assignments. Curricula are dumbed down just for kids to pass. Teachers are ringing alarm bells, but no one’s listening. And of course many parents don’t think it’s their job to help with any of it. “That’s what’s school’s for.”

It’s crazy that nowadays, according to teacher anecdotes and depressing stats, literally potty-training your child and reading with them for 30 minutes every night puts them in the upper percentile of kids. Apparently many kids go into kindergarten in diapers. And mid/high schoolers can barely read.

Oh yeah, I had to get some of the PURDY ones!

I need to eat them sparingly to make them last 👀 And I left some out to eat fresh. Til next time, NYC!

Plus I LOVE how much those guys gas each other up. Like, any time any of them present work, it's like, "YEAH DUDE! This is like some of your best stuff." But it's not empty platitudes, either. They point out specific things, and specific ways in which the person improved with their new render.

I enjoy watching Corridor Crew vlogs more than their main channel because as a CG artists, it's like hanging out with friends. They're working on their projects, I'm working on mine. What I'd argue is a decently healthy parasocial relationship. I know I don't know them or they me

Yeah NYC is smelly and dirty, but I love it. Every time I come back to visit, it’s a good feeling. And THE FOOOOOOOD 🤤 It’s all just so vibrant and dynamic still. I always enjoy coming back ❤️
