It’s finally ladybird move in day here in NY. Approximately 150 have moved in for the winter so far, but only one showing signs of Hesperomyces. We typically see more and more infections over the next few weeks. #TeamLabouls #Laboulbeniales

It’s abject stupidity, it just drives the creation of workarounds.
I can push junk commits that look like work from a cron job for gitprime, AI users will similarly waste resources to check a task box with minimal effort while not actually achieving the productivity increase the metric wants.

There’s nothing free from companies like Google. We’re just not charged at the point of use.

It would be in all our interests to not BandAid and Kleenex that brand of Internet search engine anymore.

AFAIK yeah they are, and like I am comfortable it’s not in the breeding group with any of the major invasives (unless I’m way off and it’s closer to R.rugosa?).
But I’m just nerdy enough to go get it DNA barcoded if I can’t establish a good enough ID. Gotta have an accurate catalog of the garden :)

Yeah, but they’re not doing well for pink double roses unfortunately.
Getting suggestions from them around Rosa majalis but there’s so many options in that group and each one I’ve keyed it out to in Erlanson’s key has been missing a notable feature, not that I’ve much experience keying roses.

Any #rose enthusiasts out there that can help me identify this #plant?
Found in New York at a remote cabin foundation where there were most likely German immigrants in the early to mid 19th century.
I have a cutting growing I can get more info from; but the old stems are pretty pruinose.

I think so too, but after Secret Origins she went from a Rappaccini’s Daughter trope to a less literal kind of poison.
I mainly see your plant posts, are you a comic reader too? I’m digging newest Poison Ivy run, some of the covers sorta look more Toxicodendron. I really liked Feral Trees crossover.

We have a few different columbines in the garden. The straight native Aquilegia canadensis, a few dwarf party mix hybrids to suck up the leaf miners and add some color, and this one Bulgarian Columbine I domesticated from where it was found during an invasive weed cleanup event.
