Struggling with performance on Steam Deck using Unity HDRP 😅 Even on lowest settings I’m only getting 30–50fps. I’ve already done tons of GPU optimizations, with only minor CPU tweaks left. Do you think this FPS is acceptable for a high end graphics skateboarding game in 2025?

🧵Some thoughts on lighting in Unity: For me lighting has always been a pain point in Unity using HDRP. With Ray tracing it's pretty great, you have Raytraced reflections and GI. No problem. But it's limited to the most high end GPU's. For lower end hardware(which most gamers have) you're stuck

I feel like South Park is missing out on the action by not producing new content right now. Then again, it might be difficult for the writers to outperform the dumb shit that is going on in the world these days.

Funny thing, I always hated math in school. I just never saw the point in solving something just to solve it. Nowadays I'm in love with graphics programming and a big part of that is math, in that context math is fun and rewarding to me! What did I do wrong in school for it to suck like that!?

Hi Blue Sky! I'm testing the the new Raytracingaccelerationstructure.addinstancesindirect api in Unity 6.1. This basically means that RayTracing can properly work with instancing. The performance boost is quite insane! Get the code here: github.com/danielzeller... #madwithunity #screenshotsaturday
