Before anyone I know takes award shows seriously, ask yourselves "Who is giving out the awards?" and "Does their opinion and choice actually matter? Why?"

I say this because I've had people bring up The Game Awards and Streamer Awards with me, but it's hard to take those things seriously.

The post describes that the user’s sister, who has schizophrenia, admitted herself to the hospital after believing someone was communicating with her through her smart fridge, which turned out to be an LED screen advertisement. The post explains that she spent two days under monitoring with medication adjustments and that the specific ad she saw included her name, making it especially distressing.
