Spent tonight’s session grinding, picking up some new skills by changing vocations (classes), and knocking out my backlog of podcasts while doing do. Going to work on more story progress next session 👍
I’m about to put some *nasty* hours into Dragon Quest III to try and get it wrapped up before Resident Evil Requiem. Wish me luck 😅

Based on my history with the genre, I should’ve quit Nioh 3 by now.
But near the end of the demo, something finally clicked. It made me realize what I’d been missing in other soulslikes.
That adrenaline rush when you beat that seemingly impossible enemy. I might finally get it.

Based on my history with the genre, I should’ve quit Nioh 3 by now.

MIO: Memories in Orbit is a beautiful Metroidvania crafted with many of the same philosophies as Hollow Knight.

Woof, I did NOT like this one. The whole concept of “which spouse would you spent the afterlife with?” is handled so poorly and none of the characters have chemistry with each other. One of the most unromantic rom-coms I’ve ever seen.

Just finished the demo for Darwin’s Paradox and I’m calling it now: this is going to be one of the surprise hits of the year.
