Okay, time for a real introduction…

My name is Zack and I’m a huge nerd who loves talking about video games, film, television, books, and all sorts of art/entertainment. I also run a video game review blog called Sight-In Games (link in bio).

Let me know what you’re watching/playing/reading!

Being a one man operation and somehow being above sites like Polygon and Forbes on search engines occasionally will always be the craziest thing to me. (I checked on incognito mode to make sure the algorithm wasn't favoring my site for this).

78th Film Watched in 2025 - Frankenstein (2025)

Guillermo del Toro and his films are what made me fall in love with cinema, and his new adaptation of Frankenstein is phenomenal. One of the most gorgeous films I’ve seen in a long time, with every facet of its design firing on all cylinders.

Just watched the first episode of Pluribus and it’s one of the best pilots I’ve seen in years! Vince Gilligan doesn’t miss, and it’s so cool to see him do a sci-fi mystery show after doing crime (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) for the past decade plus. Also great to see Rhea Seehorn again!

Few games have excited my imagination and impacted me as strongly this year as Keeper. I’ve written a short post discussing why I think it’s such a special game, but it does contain major spoilers.

Unpacking the Mystery of Keeper
More than just a quirky concept, Keeper is full of surprises that deserve to be talked about.

To also see Square Enix turn more towards AI in the midst of these layoffs on top of it all is EXTREMELY disappointing to say the least. Creativity should be the driving force behind games not fucking A.I. I want human heart, spirit and energy in my games. I want authenticity. 😭

Since it’s been a few weeks, I have a post coming tomorrow that dives a little deeper into what makes Keeper one of my favorite games of the year.

This one will have full spoilers, but I’ll also have a Spoiler Warning in the opening and won’t use an image in the link that gives anything away.

I knew my latest dev interview wouldn't do too well as it is a conversation in Spanish, but I added accurate subtitles for people to learn more about melancholic horror game Luto's development.

Sure hope y'all can give it a watch. Creative director Borja's insights are quite life-affirming.

Westen is starting to reach his final form with his TGA content, and while his power level won’t be over 9,000 until his own dedicated Big Nerd Gaming awards drop, this is a fantastic and highly detailed write-up.
It's time for my Game Awards nominee predictions in blog form!

I had 73% of my picks correct last year. I truly think I can get 80% this year.

4300 words! If you enjoy it, Reposts are always appreciated as this one is a lot of work. A few tweaks since the pod!

I cannot express how important it is to surround yourself with people who genuinely love you and encourage you.

Especially in online communities. These friendships can be just as real, even if you haven’t met in person.

Few games capture the spirit of Halloween like Costume Quest. It’s a charming, silly, and fun little RPG (you can finish it in under 10 hours!) that I had a wonderful time with.

Sometimes I like to look at the stats page for my blog and see all the countries that I’ve somehow gotten a single view from. Who is that one person in Aruba and how did they stumble across my writing? How about the one soul from the Isle of Man? This kind of stuff fascinates me to no end.

I’m going to be keeping the spirit of Halloween alive and roaring and will have a review for Costume Quest up tomorrow morning.

I was planning on jumping into Mafia: The Old Country (which I’ll probably start tomorrow evening), but I got totally sucked into this one and couldn’t put it down.

I never want to hand out 10/10s easily. I also want to avoid extreme statements unless I really mean them.

So when I tell you that Hades 2 is a 10/10 and the best roguelike of all time, you can be assured that I mean it.

My review.
