A nice day, tho’ feel a bit melancholic about stuff; PAOTY was an excuse for a cathartic weep. Tried not to stress about silly stuff. Saw some sunshine & had a bit of a walk too. Diabetic eye check all clear, so not back for 2 years; makes me wonder why the optician wants more tests.

Having hoped for rain to save England, feel slightly miffed for Pakistan that they could end up with a draw when they absolutely deserve to win after England’s honking batting. One point for a draw doesn’t really change much for England, a win for Pakistan would be immense.

Yeah, been poor all round for batting. Beaumont & Jones both non-starters, too much reliance on Knight & NSB, both capable of silliness despite their experience… Bad day at the office, maybe all affected by this bug to some extent? Pak, Bang & SL certainly making hay with bowling conditions!
