I worked on HORSES as an outside consultant. Santa Ragione took all of my concerns and suggestions VERY seriously and did their best to react to them. I believe 100% that had Valve given them concrete instructions, they would have reacted immediately.

Between this and the Rockstar snitch, my sad conclusion is you should never assume work has your back. I don't say this to victim blame, but from my experience, if you're trouble, even through no fault of your own,colleagues you thought were friends will nope out real fast

Makes me want to cry to see a writer who isn't defensive about the position of writing in games, but celebrates it. It's so nice to see someone hopeful about its growth in a time where a lot of us struggle to hold on to hope
Maybe not THE thing to be proud of, but despite being super duper depressed, I'm doing stuff. I'm working on that portfolio/website/ assorted other thing at 10% of my regular speed, and it may seem pointless, but I'm crawling! We may not know what we're doing, but we're doing it!
