Hello guys. The dramas have quieted down, my next con isn't until May, and although I've still been playing around with cosplays, I'm planning to pack them away for a bit and focus on writing. My mind's been stuck on QJJ and I've finally begun reading SVSSS, but I miss Wangxian and have new ideas.

Wei Wuxian isn't sure exactly whom he is angry at. Or even – what about? Is this separate room situation really that important? Yes, they were sleeping in the same bed back at home and the inns they stayed at on the way, but it was for practical reasons. It really shouldn't matter here. And it shouldn't make Wei Wuxian feel so annoyed. Or perhaps, he's annoyed at how Jiang Fengmian treats his and Lan Wangji's marriage. Like it's a burden. Nothing but a transaction, an arrangement to keep the cultivation world safe. But isn't that what it is? Wei Wuxian asks himself bitterly. Why does he keep forgetting that their marriage is just that – a forced union to keep him alive? It's easy to forget in the comfort of their little home near Caiyi. It's easy to forget in Lan Zhan's peaceful company that Wei Wuxian is underserving of any of it. It's easy to forget that every new day is not born out of love but duty. Every day is Lan Wangji's sacrifice. The sacrifice of the whole Gusu Lan clan “Daozhang, where are you going?” Wei Wuxian doesn’t stop until he is a few streets away from the inn. His head is spinning, his step unsteady, and he leans against the wall of the nearby house. The silver-grey eyes look down into the puddle at his feet – two cold, grey eyes in a pale face and upturned lips curving into a twisted smile. Who was he kidding? He’d never be accepted. He’d never be part of this world. He was a monster. A tale one told their children to make them behave. The Yiling Patriarch who burnt and bled the whole world at his whim, who tainted everything pure and good, who forced people to care for him, to share the bed with him. Those people were right. Lan Wangji was forced into marrying him. The esteemed Light-Bearing Lord was trapped in the marriage with the monster born from the darkness of the Scorching Sun Palace. Wen Ruohan had twisted and shaped Wei Wuxian like a clay, birthing a monster to his own image and Wei Wuxian could never reshape himself enough. “I am the degenerate,” he replies. “I am the Yiling Patriarch. I am… Wei Wuxian. So, come at me and maybe I’ll take mercy on you tonight.” The resentment is now enveloping his whole being, curling around him like a snake, ever moving and choking. His heart sings in bloodlust. After all, this is who he is. This is who he was created. A cold, heartless killing machine that contained nothing but darkness and lust for blood. Why would he show mercy to anyone? Why should he not bleed these pigs out tonight and colour the streets red with their blood? Would Jiang Fengmian still welcome him into his home? This thought amuses Wei Wuxian greatly and he begins to laugh again, unaware that his attackers are running away in fear. He extends the resentment towards them, ready to lock them in his grasp. Baba, a small voice rings through his head, echoing between his tortured thoughts and the resentment is sniffed out like the flame of a candle. His silver eyes are suddenly clear again.

Sorry for the long pause in writing, guys, but I've been struggling a bit. Feeling that my writing isn't really needed anymore, there's no longer a place for it, so I've simply stopped. It's sad because writing was literally a lifesaver for me, the only thing making me feel worth something.

It's actually quite amusing how badly my thread is doing on X. I know my writing is mediocre at best and I cannot compete with the 'big writers', my ideas are not exciting or original, but damn... I'm doing worse than when I first started to write threads.
