I'm flying back to the US today, and had to dodge travel affected by a general strike across Italy. The people are protesting against their depressed wages going to fund genocide...

Go see this!
Wani-Wani Gang, the newest game from Fukuroudou will be playable at PAX Unplugged play area! And available to get at Ninja Star Games booth GH-63B.
It's very simple and fun dice game for both of casual and veteran players. 🦉

Looking for a suit in Venice for a friend's wedding I'm attending on the way back home.

It has to be black.

...and I've learned that black jackets are only used as smoking jackets in this part of Italy 😂 it's been impossible to find a whole suit.

Hoping to help a friend with a Saturday (or, in a pinch, 3-day) PAX Unplugged pass.

Anyone able to help?

I don't need to type out a paean to FFT Ivalice Chronicles when Max has the subject covered pretty well already.

It's been so fun to revisit this game! The last time I played, I was far too young to understand either the storyline or joys of mechanical silliness/balance.
The chocobos are multiplying and useless so I want to get rid of them but the game pulls THIS SHIT xD

I guess I’ll just have 30 chocobo

seems bad.

this is bad, right?
The US is seeing the largest number of layoffs since 2020, with nearly 1 million people losing their jobs so far this year.

I bought two games this SPIEL. Both small bc I'm travelling for a while yet.

Flop is a 2p battler where the goal is self sabotage.

Oliva is a gorgeous "oh, we did the same thing so now it's stronger" collector.

Both card games, obviously.

Mental healthcare is healthcare and just as lifesaving
In 2023, a program connecting Utah farmers and ranchers to free therapy vouchers was so successful, the federal money ran out in four months.

“I want you to know,” the program director recalled one recipient telling him, “that this saved my life.”

(Published April with @sltrib.com)
Utah Farmers Signed Up for Federally Funded Therapy. Then the Money Stopped.
Farmers are dying by suicide at the third-highest rate by vocation in Utah. But after a federal program offering mental health support ran out of money, the state did not continue it.

Keep this in mind when people claim cars mean business — closing Central #Madrid to cars over holidays resulted in a 9.5% boost in retail spending on its main shopping street: STUDY.

There was also a 71% drop in air pollution.

I am ashamed to live in a world where civilian humanitarians are illegally intercepted in international waters. Their mission is to bring aid to a people undergoing genocide.

In solidarity with people across the globe demanding an end to this horror, I will be on strike on Friday.
Italy's largest union, with over 5.5 million workers, has called a general strike for Friday in solidarity with the Global Sumud Flotilla.

And smaller Italian unions have said they will join CGIL's general strike.

Within hours of a nationwide general strike, the Italian government has sent a ship to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla from illegal attacks by Israel.

Earlier this week, MIT pulled out of a grant given by Israel's military after student protests.

Le Haine (dir Matthieu Kassowitz, 1995)

In an increasingly xenophobic world (see recent UN address by US president 🙄), this film about the friction between gaps in social services, hatred of immigrants by the ruling class, and the tragedy of misunderstandings is ever more timely.

Also, guns suck.
