Fujimoto either wants a woman to beat the shit out of him or be a woman himself and either thing inspiring him is extremely good. So many people watch porn and make extremely boring art or no art at all
on twitter right now they are speculating that the writer of chainsawman and firepunch may have watched porn at some point

The other thing about the OU student who wrote the bad essay on God-given gender roles is that she herself is rejecting those religious ideals about femininity by going to college, playing a sport, and having a mother who is a media personality and lawyer for Jan 6ers. Trad for thee but not for me

Not sure if there will be a Timesphere this week! Scheduling issues with the holidays and some other stuff popped up.

Definitely won't be live tomorrow morning if something does happen, but I might have something else in the works.

Yes, flood CR's feedback line too with requests to

- stop using AI to closed caption dubs

- keep their current subtitling software (Aegisub. Not the one they are switching to)

Please!
Good job, guys. See if you can't make similar results happen for No Game, No Life and Vinland Saga.

Getting close to time to start asking for the same kind of fervor for AI generated closed captions as well. You can fight this, it CAN work.

Also based on screenshots, the Spanish AI dub is still on the platform.

So yeah.

Nothing is fixed. The problem is still inherent.

in my experience, like 90% of indie game coverage at Bigger Sites comes from the heart and any "data-driven decision making" would kill it immediately so it baffles me when people think we're not passionate about this stuff
yeah the harsh reality is that we do take a chance on small games no one's heard of a lot more often than anyone thinks we do. but literally no one reads the articles, which then reinforces to the powers that be that they're not worth doing. I don't know how to solve that problem!
I've been doing this all year but indie journalists have the same issues as indie games. Unless it's a big name, nobody cares.

Hahaha, right?! Or what about mandatory disclosures for the discrepancy between the salaries of the CEO and their lowest paid worker? That would be so funny, right?! Let’s do it as a funny joke!!!

Also, to be clear, when a trans instructor at OU is being punished and targeted for quite fairly grading a terrible essay, it’s bizarre to see academics online debating the rubrics.

That’s…not the problem.

Just got hit with a $3500 vet bill, so taking the opportunity to remind folks that I'm available for all kinds of consultancy work, including stuff like mock/silent reviews, which I legit LOVE doing.

Details here:

We hit 500 reviews!! Faye will get her pretzel! That said, what we really want is for the reviews to turn "overwhelmingly positive." that means we need 15 more positive reviews to tick it up from 94% to 95%. So if you haven't reviewed the game yet, your vote makes a heck of a difference! Go go go!
Don't forget: If you've played and enjoyed Demonschool, please do leave a review on steam! We want to hit that "overwhelmingly positive" threshold. And remember, if we do it by the end of the month (5 days!), Faye gets a pretzel~ store.steampowered.com/app/1900250/...

This entire situation is a joke, and the fact that I have seen so many people in/around OU supporting this just hammers home the sludge of OK's education.

The feedback for that mess of an essay was completely valid and measured. Yet "religious freedom" remains a crutch for bigotry and stupidity.

In case you were wondering where to send your thoughts on the AI "dub" of Banana Fish, you can do so here.

Be polite--and I *mean* that--but so long as you're polite, feel free to let them know exactly how you feel about the AI "dub."
That I can do.

Search Prime Video for the title (I went with Banana Fish), then click on Details, and scroll past the Cast page to "Send Us Feedback."

As someone who loves to watch so-bad-its-good content PLEASE understand you can't give shit like this the time of day

The only way to convince these companies to not use AI dubbing is to show it's not profitable, STAY AWAY from hate-watching and instead spend that time watching dubs you love
The only thing less human than these AI dub performances is the decision to sign off on them

A company this big can pay human actors a decent wage, not produce slop that intentionally removes the human element.

Every single person involved in creating this should be blacklisted from anything even tangentially related to art.

Starting to feel like my crashing out on AI during this week’s Timesphere wasn’t nearly enough considering the drivel that has been shown in just a week post-recording.

Companies will take any opportunity to destroy creative work as long as it means they can save a few bucks and spit on artists.
