I should also say, it's such a competitive market right now everywhere, and I'd happily take any lead or recommendation in the meantime, even if it's not 1:1 with my experience.
I've never made a post like this, and I am not sure how effective it is or how to boost visibility, but I'd greatly appreciate anyone who shares this or sends anything my way. I've been looking on LinkedIn, Indeed, and whatever else you can think of for two months now! Happy to share any other info.
I'm seeking work in the Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley area! My experience is in administrative work; I was a Legal Assistant for over two years and a Project Manager for over two years before that. If you know anybody who might be willing to hire me, I'd be very appreciative! DM or @ me!
That’s understandable, it’s brutal
I don’t really like metroidvanias at all and I don’t dig hollow knight but I’m still going to try Silksong I think haha
Haha yeah, I have seen a few articles now talking rumors of shuffling behinds the scene and so it sounds like his health isn’t great? But he’s old anyway. And I guess Vance was talking about the possibility of him passing. Seems like conjecture at this point
Sorry to direct this towards you specifically, but genuinely what are people vague posting about lmao
Why is this making the rounds now? This is several months old
Bowling must be really fucking boring if you’re wicked at it
You don’t hear people talk about worms enough as a grown up
I also had a glitch on the first 3 circle vent diagram where when placing the last piece in the puzzle (incorrectly) made the screen go black and I clicked the “x” in the corner to go back to the old screen after a minute. Not sure if it was meant to open an ad or what.
I’ll definitely consider that! My unsolicited advice then is maybe reminding the player of it down the road (which you might already do).

Also is there any desire to add a shuffle button? I would understand if not.
The tooltips disappear a bit too quick (very easy to accidentally tap and miss them) and I’m not sure how useful the “click and hold to drag multiple things” actually is, it seems a bit unwieldy.
Quite enjoying it. Is there a place to offer feedback or is this app the best place for it?
Any release date? Or is it just a matter of App Store approval at this point
Guy who is a misogynist because women have been keeping Broad City to themselves
Unfortunately they’re both peak
It is genuinely unfathomable how out of touch people can be. I am definitely naive, and becoming less so as I get older, but I guess I want to believe that the people in power are SOMEWHAT competent.
The "E.T. carts getting buried in the desert" story often cites the game being bad (it was fine for the time crunch it was made under). The real problem was they made 5m ET carts when there were only 10m atari 2600 consoles sold. They expected *everyone* to buy one but gave no time for development.
Reminder: Atari didn't collapse in 1983-84 because their games were bad. It was because they had such unrealistic projections that even their top-selling titles were considered flops

Atari executives peddled the "people hated the games" story to deflect blame for their mismanagement

one major note about how oppression against masses works: the appearance, the illusion of strength is more important, the demoralisation and despair is key to how they operate. they will use the state media apparatus to make it seem all is lost. it is a working; to dispel it, exist loudly in reality
With the awful news from the last couple hours, this post from the political optimism subreddit helped to break through a bit of the despair fog. Repubs know this is political suicide, ICE's support is crumbling despite the budget increase, and there's a myriad of ways to fight back. Keep strong.

Anecdotal, but I'm definitely noticing an uptick in advocacy for violence here. About which I'll say only this: Promoting violence on social media is the work of trolls and fools, those eager to bait others into implicating themselves in the age of surveillance or fools rushing to the gulag.
I have accepted that I will probably not see that moment in my lifetime, that I will live in mediocrity forever. But being hopeless is the only way we lose, we must fight for the future generations.
I’ve been thinking about this especially in the context of the various wars Israel is engaged in. It does matter what happens from here, but we already lost many people. It’s hard to even care if it gets better one day, we need to grieve now.
