7-year-old Wolfman motorcycle tank bag, used daily as main transport. Remarkably durable—still going strong after over 70,000 miles across Europe, including trips to Spain, the NC500 in Scotland, Orkney, Wales, and all over the UK. Only needed to replace the clips. 20L capacity still handles shopping and travel gear with ease. Discontinued now, but no replacement has matched it.

From my experience, being a woman rider hasn't been good. I've been pushed out, rejected, treated like an outcast for having skills that go beyond the stereotype of what a woman rider “should” be. I’ve been pushed down, made to feel small, as if being born female is a joke. I’m not tiny boots and cute poses—I’m nobody to them. Only 6 women entered Dakar out of 250 men. Women are suppressed, so fewer even try. Most can't afford it—racing, bikes, vans. If you're not a supermodel on a bike, you're invisible. I want to change that. I want women to have a voice. But I'm tired. After 26 years of sexist BS, I ride alone now. I’ve pulled away from the motorcycle community after hitting too many walls. I won Baja 1000cc in the women’s class—because I was the only woman. That’s not a challenge; it’s a warning. Women like me are rare. We ride anyway.

Clovelly's All Saints' Church, dating back to the 13th century, stands as a testament to the village's medieval heritage. The steep, cobbled streets leading down to the harbor have remained largely unchanged since the 1800s, preserving the village's historic charm. Royal Ownership and Historical Significance The village's estate was originally owned by William the Conqueror and later gifted to his wife. In 1242, it was acquired by the Giffard family. Clovelly remained under royal associations until the mid-19th century, when it became privately owned. ​ Clovelly is renowned for its steep, cobbled streets, which are too narrow for vehicles. Traditionally, donkeys and sledges were used to transport goods up and down the hill. The village offers stunning views of the North Devon coast and is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Port Isaac’s narrow, winding streets were originally designed for packhorses and foot traffic, not cars. The village’s untouched, old-world charm has made it a popular filming location — most famously as the fictional Portwenn in the TV series Doc Martin. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Port Isaac was more than a fishing village — it was a busy trading port, exporting locally quarried slate and importing coal, timber, and limestone. The village’s narrow streets and slipways were built to handle the constant traffic of carts and packhorses. Port Isaac has a deep smuggling history, like many Cornish coastal villages. During the 18th century, high taxes on imported goods encouraged an underground economy, with locals secretly landing contraband like brandy, tea, and tobacco under cover of darkness.
