Boom goes the Tarte!

After you drape the pastry over it all in the tin, you've gotta put some steam holes in it and bake the last for 20 minutes in a preheated 200 degree oven.

Turn it down to 190 for another 25 mins, let it cool for 10 and flip it out the tin into a plate.

Gazz Bakes ALERT!

Next door gave us some pears, so we're doing a Pear Tarte Tatin.

Have I done it before? Nope.

Can I say Tarte Tatin not like it's all one incomprehensible French word? Nope.

But let's have a whack at this tart.

🥧

Peeled, sliced and cored pears. Mixed with nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and lemon juice.

Caramel sauce (melted butter and brown sugar) poured into the pie tin with the sliced pears arranged cut side up.

That's #PortalRevolutions in the bag. First completed game on Steam Deck for me. It's a really well put together Portal game if you're looking for something scratch that itch, since Valve are never making a third... anything.

There's some really tricky test chambers and the voice acting is great. 🎮

The Special Gun in question rewinds time, so you have to put the cubes down in the right places and then rewind them onto the buttons as and when.

It's complicated, but I'm getting the hang of it.
